Moonchild
Mixed Media Artist
Moonchild is a Tokyo-based artist originally from Fukushima, Japan. After experiencing the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake and working in community support, she began her artistic practice inspired by themes of emotional healing and inner transformation. Her work explores delicate layers of human emotion, capturing fleeting moments of vulnerability, softness, and quiet beauty found in everyday life.
Using materials such as watercolor and crayon, she creates gentle yet expressive compositions that reflect subtle emotional shifts. She values spontaneity and the natural interaction of materials, allowing each piece to emerge organically through the layering of color, texture, and intuition. Her process is deeply intuitive, aiming to visualize feelings that are often difficult to put into words.
Looking ahead, she seeks to expand her presence internationally through exhibitions, sharing works that invite viewers into a space of calm reflection and inner resonance.
