Art Connecting the World
New York Chelsea
Wabi-Sabi Exhibition 2026
In 2026, the JCAT NY Chelsea Exhibition celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking a significant milestone. Over the past decade, the exhibition has fostered meaningful connections that transcend borders and languages through Japanese art, evolving into a platform that brings people together.
The theme of this 10th edition is WABI-SABI. Featuring more than 100 works by over 80 participating artists, the exhibition reinterprets the Japanese aesthetic appreciation of beauty found in stillness, imperfection, negative space, and the passage of time through a contemporary lens.
Set in New York City - a microcosm of a world where cultures, ethnicities, and perspectives intersect - the exhibition invites visitors to pause, reflect, and experience a moment of quiet contemplation.

Eiten
Without sketches or plans, EITEN paints freely—guided only by the air of the moment, the rhythm of conversation, and the flow of music surrounding him. Every stroke is born from intuition, capturing emotion as it arises. Flowers, the sun, buildings—each element appears dynamically arranged, yet harmoniously linked by bold and graceful lines. His works, while powerful and spontaneous, carry a sense of warmth and tenderness that resonates deeply with viewers. Celebrated both in Japan and abroad, EITEN continues to create art that embodies connection and transformation. As his own words suggest, his art and his life are organically intertwined—constantly evolving through intuition and the invisible ties between all things.
Featured Artists
Team A: Takashi’s Artworks
Takashi HATTORI
Takashi HATTORI explores memory, material, and landscape through works incorporating natural materials. Between 2023 and 2025, he lived in the Marshall Islands, where he developed a lasting engagement with the Pacific that continues to shape his work. His paintings reflect layered histories in which geology, myth, and human experience converge, often evoking the rhythms of lagoons and ocean swells. He has exhibited internationally, including in New York, Paris, and Dubai. Through tactile surfaces and restrained compositions, his work invites viewers to encounter the unseen forces that shape islands and their stories.
Team B: Yoko Kz’s Artworks
Yoko Kz.
Yoko Kitazaki is a painter who depicts the energy she feels from nature. She is particularly drawn to light, wind, water, and trees, and transforms the energy she feels from them into art. The roots of this can be found in her childhood, when she was surrounded by the colors of nature, as well as in her pursuit of decorative beauty while studying dyeing in Kyoto.
Since 2025, she has begun a new form of expression, large-scale works "hanging art." She hopes that people will feel energy and find healing from these pieces of art.
