Art Connecting the World
New York Chelsea
Wabi-Sabi Exhibition 2026
In 2026, the JCAT NY Chelsea Exhibition celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking a significant milestone. Over the past decade, the exhibition has fostered meaningful connections that transcend borders and languages through Japanese art, evolving into a platform that brings people together.
The theme of this 10th edition is WABI-SABI. Featuring more than 100 works by over 80 participating artists, the exhibition reinterprets the Japanese aesthetic appreciation of beauty found in stillness, imperfection, negative space, and the passage of time through a contemporary lens.
Set in New York City - a microcosm of a world where cultures, ethnicities, and perspectives intersect - the exhibition invites visitors to pause, reflect, and experience a moment of quiet contemplation.

Eiten
Without sketches or plans, EITEN paints freely—guided only by the air of the moment, the rhythm of conversation, and the flow of music surrounding him. Every stroke is born from intuition, capturing emotion as it arises. Flowers, the sun, buildings—each element appears dynamically arranged, yet harmoniously linked by bold and graceful lines. His works, while powerful and spontaneous, carry a sense of warmth and tenderness that resonates deeply with viewers. Celebrated both in Japan and abroad, EITEN continues to create art that embodies connection and transformation. As his own words suggest, his art and his life are organically intertwined—constantly evolving through intuition and the invisible ties between all things.
Featured Artists
Team A: Takashi’s Artworks
Takashi HATTORI
Takashi Hattori was born in Tokyo in 1970. He lived in Jerusalem from April 2019 until June 2023, and is currently living in Marshall Islands.
He began to work with soil and sand in 2017. He has been making artworks using soil and sand from Palestine and Israel while praying for peace and stability in the region. The soil embraces life and death, as all of us are born from the soil and return to the soil. The soil embodies the history of the land, which is not limited to the time human beings have spent but also includes the memory of the earth itself.
Team B: Yoko Kz’s Artworks
Yoko Kz.
Yoko Kitazaki is a painter who depicts the energy she feels from nature. She is particularly drawn to light, wind, water, and trees, and she materializes the energy she perceives from them into art.
The roots of this can be found in her childhood, when she was surrounded by the colors of nature, as well as in her pursuit of decorative beauty while studying dyeing in Kyoto, which has now led to abstract and semi-figurative works.
Yoko has participated in international exhibitions organized by various Italian art institutions, and her work has been featured in art magazines and artist catalogues. She has also exhibited at the historic Salon d'Automne in Paris and has regularly participated in the New York exhibition organized by JCAT.
Yoko's works use acrylic paints and depict images from deep within the heart, with her own strong texture. Furthermore, starting in 2025, she began a new form of expression by creating larger-sized artworks that allow viewers to experience her energy, which she calls 'Hanging Art.' She hopes that these works will heal people's hearts and become a source of positive energy.
