mikadotto is an artist who survived breast cancer. Her life as an artist began owing to her experience of choosing to live alongside cancer.
She decided to shift her way of expressing herself from design to art after receiving a picture drawn on the back of a notebook.

One day, a package delivered to her hospital room had a sketch of her by her partner. The doodle deeply touched her heart and gave her courage and hope, leading her to promise herself to live side-by-side with the disease. She believes she could pass the baton to others after seeing the world that appears only to those who have gone through such an experience. She wishes to support those with breast cancer with her art as her partner did to her.

She paints in a unique style characterized by rich, energetic colors and curved lines. She specializes in combining various materials while enjoying the sense of discomfort and places great importance on conveying positive messages.

Her works embody the message: I am who I am, so love me as I am, and encourage the viewers to value their individuality, telling them there is no need to compare or wish for change. She aspires to deliver her works across the sea, passing the message forward.

mikadotto(ミカドット）は乳がんサバイバーアーティスト。彼女がアーティストとなった背景には、自身が乳がんと共存しながら生きることを決意した経験がある。ノートの裏に描かれた1枚の絵をもらったことがきっかけで彼女はデザイナーからアーティストとして表現することを決心する。

ある日、彼女の病室に届けられた荷物の中にパートナーが描いてくれた彼女の似顔絵が入っていた。その1枚の落書きは彼女の心にとても寄り添い勇気と生きる希望をあたえ、彼女は病気と共存し生きる約束を自分自身とした。「現実には見えてない世界を体験したからこそ、渡せるバトンがある！」と信じ、彼がしてくれたように彼女自身もアートで乳がんの方を応援したいと願う。

そんな彼女の作品は独自のスタイルと、様々な素材を組み合わせ違和感を楽しむカタチを表現をすることを得意とし、カラフルでエネルギッシュな色彩や曲線を特徴としており、ポジティブなメッセージを伝えることに大切にしてる。

他者と比較する必要はなく、自身の個性を大切にし、変わりたいと思う必要もないことを伝え、「ワタシはワタシだから今のままのワタシを愛して」というメッセージをアート作品を通じて表現している。MicaD3×4＝120はその想いを繋ぐアート作品を、海を渡り世界中に届けたい！
