  Yuki Amakawa (Mixed Media)

Yuki Amakawa was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Her parents were both fine arts teachers.She learned Japanese calligraphy and Sumi-e during her childhood. Her favorite subject matter was animals and plants.She later took an interest in ceramics and began to make ceramics during her time as a university student.As a lover of cats, she wants many people to understand their complicated charm through her artwork.

2012 She became a lecturer of Japanese calligraphy and began working as a volunteer at a facility for disabled people.
2013~ She held 8 independent exhibitions in Japan.
2017    She exhibited work at KAZUYO’S COLLECTION in Brisbane, Australia, which immediately sold out.
2017    She exhibited two works in the Japanese Cat Art Exhibition performed at the Lucky Cat Café in Brisbane.
2017    she exhibited works at the JCAT Gallery.

5th rank qualifier at the Suishin Japanese Calligraphy Association
Special selection at the Japanese Calligraphy Competition at Kouya-san.
