ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
This piece shows an image of the sweet feel of Spring in the air. I draw first “Mimosa” with colored pencils in 2018. This time, for the Smiley Exhibition, I tried to draw “Mimosa” again with another materials. It’s about the memory of the spring of my hometown. Moon in the spring haze and the mimosa flowers  (they bloom in early spring in Japan) are the beautiful symbols of spring to me. The fox at the  center of this piece is the fox thought to be a messenger from a Shinto god. I’d loved to draw him. He put an ear of rice in his mouth. It means huge harvest of the 5 grains. I draw “Mimosa “ with wishes that everyone can live life without regrets in the season changing.
