He was born in the Ishikawa Prefecture of Japan, which is famous for its ancient Kutani style pottery, and Kagayuzen dyeing process. He has now lived in Kyoto for close to 40 years. His interests in painting began when he was 18 years old, and he focused on reproducing a variety of drawings onto panels to give them the impression of having been painted. While his interest has been painting while being employed at a store that handles traditional Japanese sweets in Kyoto, he spent many years not even knowing what to draw. His activities in artwork really began to take shape when he first encountered the Zentangle method around 5 or 6 years ago. He learned about drawing freely according to his wishes androm that moment on, images began to bubble up in the back of his mind for reasons unknown simply by closing his eyes. The images then disappeared when he focused his attention on them. He now pursues these images while continuing his artwork. He will continue to do his very best to create original works.
