Born and raised in a city famous for roses in Hiroshima prefecture, NORIMASA has been drawing since he was a small child. While his studies were unrelated to art, he spent his free time then as he does now: drawing illustrations and manga. Although he has dabbled in digital art in the past, the charm of traditional methods drew him back into creating art in the physical world.
From portraits of a beloved racehorse to abstract representations of the intersection of emotion and illusion, NORIMASA’s art draws inspiration from a variety of sources, lending itself to a wide variety of genres and methods to express his feelings. He sees his art as an expression of the free and limitless possibilities of the universe, not limited to the perception of an individual, fusing “life” and “nature” together to create something that is not only beautiful to the eye, but also communicates the importance of harmony with nature to the viewer.
