  Makiko Tamori (Painter)

Having grown up around Japanese, Buddhist, and Shinto art, Makiko Tamori taught herself how to draw.She was influenced by her photographer older sister and becameinterested in contemporary art.She poured over the paintings of Western-style painter Akiko Nakajima.
She is currently producing acrylic paintings, mixed media, collages, and installations in New York, Paris, Germany, Shanghai, and Japan. She is active internationally.
