Haruka Saino (Painter)
Haruka Saino participated in a residence program in Paris in 2012. She began to create artworks based on thetheme of plants she had diligently cared for during her residency. This creative direction occurred to her as she began to think about painting flowers as a symbol of life, which are like a condensed version of the power of life in plants. She is an active artist while also working a prop maker for Japanese dance. Recently, Haruka has been engaged in creating both oil paintings and also mixed media works using oil and acrylic colors and materials. She has gained inspiration from the living energy of nature to develop an abstract art world encompassing animism.
